How to Order

Step 1 - Input your email for your discount!

Step 2 – Take a look below to understand our terminology and choose your purchase accordingly. To start the season, we do not have hatched or grown ducks available, they are hatched to order only.

A Fertilized Egg is just that, an egg that can produce a Hatchling, if stored properly, it has up to 7 days to get started in an incubator. If you have an incubator, and you want to meet your babies the moment they hatch, this is the least expensive option from our side. You will need to have your own incubator. This option takes at least a few days to fill.

A Duck Hatchling is a baby duck that we hatched in our Incubators. They are considered a hatchling up till they are 48 hours old. At this age, they have all their nutrition needs met from the yolk of the egg they hatched out of, and do not need their first meals yet. We provide them with their water requirements before and during transport (if we are delivering). They also have heat requirements, and they must be kept around 31C while they are so tiny. We have a vehicle that has a mobile brooder in the back for safe transport. We organize 90% of our deliveries at this age. It is the most cost-effective way for you to begin owning ducks that we offer. This option takes a minimum of 28 days (about 4 weeks) after we collect the eggs, as that is incubation time for a Duck egg.  ***WE CANNOT GUARANTEE GENDER AT THIS AGE***

A Duckling is a baby duck that has begun its third day of life out of its egg. It is at this age they begin to form the intense bonds of connection with their surroundings and people. A duck can recognize over 100 different humans, and we like having them in their forever home before they reach this age. They now need a nutritional starter feed (non-medicated), a constant supply of clean water, and clean bedding that gets changed frequently. They need a steady heat source, starting at 31C, and slowly lowering in temperature to 16C by week 6. This obviously has costs associated with it, including feed, water, bedding, but also a spacious brooder that is maintained, and supervised access to a suitable pond or bathing area. They remain a duckling till they reach between 6 to 8 weeks (about 2 months) of age, depending on the Breed, some mature faster than others. We keep the duckling in a controlled environment so it may grow in all its feathers and gain enough weight to be capable of handling changes in weather comfortably. We do NOT like to offer delivery at this age range as our delivery vehicle is not designed to manage their needs. It has many challenges and creates a great deal of work on our end and can be challenging for the Duckling. We ask if you are purchasing this age group of Duckling, you plan to pick them up yourself. They will be more relaxed in a box in your vehicle where you can keep them calm for the journey. This option takes between 30 and 60 days (about 2 months) to fill.

***WE CANNOT GUARANTEE GENDER AT THIS AGE***

An Off-Heat Duck enters this age between 6 and 8 weeks (about 2 months) of age. This is now a Juvenile animal, think of them as a teenager. They have feathered out and have gained enough weight to capable of facing most outdoor weather challenges. They no longer require a brooder, or a supplemental heat source. They are full of personality, energy, and curiosity. A healthy Juvenile duck will have access to Grower feed, that they never see the bottom of. They will have a never-ending supply of clean fresh water to drink and clean their bill and nose while they eat. They should have a pool, pond, or a container that is large enough for them to swim in and bathe regularly. They remain this age till they become sexually active (i.e., females laying eggs) This option take a minimum of 90 days (about 3 months) to fill.

***WE CANNOT GUARANTEE GENDER AT THIS AGE***

An Adult Layer is a duck that has become sexually active and is mostly fully grown. You will be given options at this age to order Drake (boy) vs Hen (girl). A healthy duck will continue to grow for the first 2 years of its life. The duck hens first eggs will typically be small (large chicken egg sized), but after a few weeks of laying, they will start to lay full sized eggs. By this age, a duck has formed lifelong bonds with its flock mates, and its humans and guardians. They are mostly self-sufficient and have solid routines they do not like to have disrupted. It is capable of foraging to supplement its feed. We feed our adult ducks Layer pellets from February till October, and we feed them grower during the colder winter months. They will still lay during the winter, but we prefer they concentrate on staying healthy, fit, and have a deserved break for a few months before mating season begins again, an adult duck can easily live beyond 10 years old, and many make it more then 15 years. Most breeds, if provided a health y environment, will continue to lay strong for 5 to 7 seasons. Adult ducks need a large, spacious area to exist. We recommend at least 4 sq ft of floor space per duck in the coop. The outdoor run should be at least 8 sq ft per duck. It must include a feeder that ideally limits waste, a waterer that is never dry or frozen, and some manner of pond they can easily get in and out of for bathing and grooming. We recommend changing the water in your pools at minimum once a week.

The coop and run MUST be predator safe. Ducks are wonderful creatures, but they exist very much near the bottom of the prey charts in the hierarchy of the wild. Most, if not all Dogs, foxes, wild cats, Mustelids, even racoons and skunks can wipe out a coop of 20 ducks in an hour if they can gain access. Please!!!!! Plan a safe area for your babies before you begin your waterfowl journey.

This option takes 5 to 6 months to fill.

We require payment in full for our orders when we load the incubators.
